  • Build a solid foundationInformation technology is the use of computers to store, analyse and communicate data, including hardware, software and networking. This course gives you the fundamental theory and skills to start your career in IT with confidence.
  • A path to your bachelor’sThe Diploma of Information Technology can be used as a pathway to enter our Bachelor of Information Technology. If you didn’t quite meet the entry requirements for the bachelor’s, this course is your alternative way in. Successfully complete the course and you will be awarded your diploma and have the option to progress straight into the second year of the undergraduate degree. You will also receive up to six subject credits in the bachelor’s in recognition of your diploma.
  • Gain additional skillsAlongside your IT study, you’ll also develop your academic and English communication skills, opening up more career opportunities when you graduate.

Unrestricted Elective

Students undertake one (1) unrestricted elective.

An unrestricted elective is a subject that may be chosen from virtually any subject on offer across the University provided prerequisites, assumed knowledge, enrolment restrictions and any other Faculty requirements have been met.

International students must meet minimum academic and English language requirements to be eligible to study with us.
