Advanced Diploma of Electrical – Engineering

This qualification provides competencies to design and validate/evaluate electrical equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice/sales.

It develops competencies in the ethical and responsible application of mathematics, science, engineering techniques, Standards and Codes of Practice, engineering design practices, supervision and management of physical, human and financial resources in engineering.

Assessment:
The assessment of each unit of competency will take place during the course. Assessments will take the form of assessment / activities, assignment and / or practical activities in our classroom/ engineering workshops and engineering rooms.

Entry requirement:

Completion of UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or UEE40611 Certificate IV in Electrotechnology- Systems Electrician or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

Academic requirement:

Successful completion of Australian year 12 or equivalent with satisfactory completion of mathematics and physics

English requirement:

A minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.

International Students who do not meet the English language requirements for this course may undertake English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) according to the English Learning Matrix.
